The beaches with pink sand: What is their secret?

The beach with pink sand – the dream of every romance, and few countries can offer to tourists as an exotic vacation. At first glance it may seem that delicate pink hue – is the result of contamination or even the play of light. However, the solution lies somewhat deeper. In fact, pink grains of sand – it foraminifera, single-celled organisms, shells which have a reddish tint. When the foraminifera dies, the waves carry them ashore, where they are mixed with sand, particles of coral skeletons and other marine organisms.
