Croatia: Rovinj

Rovinj – a small town in Croatia, located on the western coast of the Istrian peninsula. The old town of Rovinj is located on a peninsula shaped like a drop.

The historical part of the city is located on a hilly peninsula on the highest point of which is the church of Saint Euphemia. The city is dominated by stone, narrow streets and red tiles on the houses – a European classic.

3

Along the waterfront is a small cove with a large number of boats of different sizes and types.

4

I surprised by the number of people on the streets on the first night. You may have a holiday, but it looked like a normal day.

5

Chief postcard views of the historical part of the city and the church of St. Euphemia.

I walked for an hour at night historic center and began to slowly move toward the house. On the way here I found these wonderful trees, who paused for photos under a starry sky.

8

The residents of Rovinj can swim without leaving the city. Rocks around ennobled historic center: Stoch stones, made steps and handrails installed. Now this is a great place for diving and sunbathing.

9

Around the peninsula is a street, located closest to the sea, from which there are tents slopes to the water. A few you can go down to the sea and swim to the other – to go to a bar or shop.

10

All windows have shutters necessarily.

11

In the historical part of the city a stone circle: on the houses, under our feet, on the rocks. The usual thing for Europe.

13

Colored streets a little, but you can feel the difference with respect to gray.

14

Crossroads of the four roads.

At the highest point of the historic center were located the church of St. Euphemia, which you can climb the tower. There’s just inside the Hells staircase upstairs. Even me with his high-altitude experience was exciting to climb because there are a wooden staircase, large spans, and wide gaps between the stages. If you break down under the stage, it will fly a long time, just to be a fatality. But a top view opens.

The central street of the city. Shops, stores, tourists or residents.

Houses are painted on the waterfront. It turned out impressively.

25

Franciscan Monastery stands in the city.

In the center of the stone blocks, of course, but it is either polished tourist’s feet or just such a material. She is a little slippery and shiny. If the day she just shines at night it begins to reflect the light of lanterns.
